After graduating in anthropology he joined MaltaToday in 2002, and went on to become editor of The Malta Financial and Business Times, MaltaToday Midweek, and MaltaToday on Sunday. In 2006 he obtained a Master's degree in Human Rights and Democratisation. His special interests are asylum policy, finance and business, politics, digital media and technology. His work featured in a review of investigative journalism in the EU for the European Parliament's budgetary control committee: Deterrence of Fraud with EU Funds through Investigative Journalism in EU-27.
